The Launching of TimeOut

It all began when TimeOut was hired by Tom Melcher Chief Operating Officer to serve the hardworking engineers and editors manning the computers in mission control at the February 8, 1996 extravaganza, '24 Hours In Cyberspace'. The history-making event was held in San Francisco's China Basin Building. TimeOut's team of eight massage therapists worked a twelve-hour shift in an adjoining suite to command central, massaging and re-energizing the staff.
